Rajamahendravaram: Fight unitedly to capture power, Krishnaiah to BCs
Rajamahendravaram: BC Welfare Association national president R Krishnaiah said all the members of backward classes (BC) should fight unitedly to capture power in the country for their wellbeing and the BCs should come under one roof to fulfil their long pending desire.
Participating in BC Students Welfare Association state president Laddika Mallesh's swearing-in-ceremony held at a hotel here on Wednesday, Krishnaiah advised BCs to use vote as a weapon in this regard.
There is no future for BCs unless they come to power he said while adding that BCs should also think about the future generations and work in co-ordination. He reminded that BCs who constitute 56 per cent of population had no proportionate share in political power.
Stating that political parties were using BCs as their vote banks, he said it was time to teach them a lesson. He asked the students to know about Dr BR Ambedkar, Jyothirao Phule who strived for the welfare of BCs and liberated from the clutches of upper castes in the country.
SC/ST Commission chairman Karem Shivaji said SC,ST, BC and Minorities are the four pillars of the country and the entire system would collapse if any one of them got weakened. He called upon the BC students to know their rights.
Film actor R Narayana Murthy underlined the need to bring awareness among BCs about their power and importance of their vote. Unless BCs work unitedly, they can't come to power and the leaders should work together in this regard, he said.
BC association state president Laddika Mallesh assured to fight for the solution to problems of BC students in the state and asked them to bring their problems to his notice.
BC leaders Vengala Rao, Adi Seshu, R V Rao, CS Rao, Rudrama Devi, M Satyavathi and others were present.
