Rajamahendravaram: Gas Authority of India Limited releases `6 crore for water project in Nagaram

Rajamahendravaram: Amalapuram MP Chinta Anuradha has advised the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) to create awareness among people on oil exploration in KG basin. She along with Razolu MLA Kondeti Chittibabu and GAIL Chief General Manager K Ramesh laid foundation stone for GAIL's proposed house-to-house drinking water supply project worth Rs. 6 crore in Nagaram village of Mamidikuduru mandal on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said many people in KG basin did not aware of activities oil and gas exploration and suggested the oil major to take up development works under the corporate social responsibility.

MLA K Chittibabu asked the GAIL authorities to upgrade the primary health centre as a multispecialty hospital in Nagram village to provide quality medical aid to people. He thanked the GAIL management for taking up drinking water project.
