Rajamahendravaram: Govt taking steps for tailors welfare, says YSRCP leader Pantham Kondala Rao
Rajamahendravaram: The YSRCP leader and local channel managing director Pantham Kondala Rao has said that the State government was taking steps for the welfare of tailors in the State.
Participating in World Tailors Day celebrations held at Zendapanja Road here on Friday, he said Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has sanctioned an amount of Rs 10,000 to the tailors who were eking out their livelihood through tailoring.
He asked the leaders of the Tailors Association to bring awareness among their members on the welfare schemes meant for them. The State government is very much particular on their wellbeing. He assured to take the problems of the tailors to the notice of the chief minister.
Tailors Association president Balu underlined the need to allow free power up to 200 units per month, sanction of pension to the tailors who crossed 50 years of age and sanction Rs 500 crore for Tailors Federation for the welfare of tailors.
Earlier, the association members paid tributes to sewing machine inventor Williams.
