Rajamahendravaram Jagan lacks guts to seek Special Category Status says Sake Sailajandh
Rajamahendravaram: APCC president Sake Sailajandh has said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lacked guts to exert pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sanction the Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to reporters at Anam Rotary Hall here on Tuesday, he pointed out that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had assured the people to get SCS for the State if they elected more MPs from the YSRCP but failed to keep his promise.
He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were looting the people in various ways and the people were watching the functioning of two governments. He flayed the Centre for continuously rising the prices of petrol and diesel.
Sailajanath found fault with the Chief Minister for selling the fixed assets, taking loans and spending lavishly on welfare schemes.
The Congress leader also expressed concern over steep increase in electricity bills during the lockdown period. He said Jagan was taking hasty decisions and facing problems. Sailajanath said former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had suffered due to Janmabhoomi committees and Jagan could suffer the same plight due to the volunteer system.
Sailajanath opined that the Congress would regain power at the Centre in 2024 as people were vexed with the policies of the BJP-led NDA government.
Party leaders NV Srinivas, Martin Luther, Arshad and others were present.
