Rajamahendravaram: Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna statue unveiling today

Rajamahendravaram: Arrangements were made to unveil the statue of legendary Carnatic musician and 'Padma Bhushan' Dr Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna at his native village, Sankaraguptam of Malikipuram mandal on March 5.

Ghazal Charitable Trust and North America Telugu Society (NATS) have been jointly conducting the programme. Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi, Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Corporation chairman Malladi Vishnu, Carnatic musician Annavarapu Rama Swamy and many others will participate in the programme.

Programme director Ghazal Srinivas, Rayaprolu Bhagavan, Achanta Veera Venkata Satyanarayana are supervising the programme arrangements. Artistes DV Mohan Krishna, Morimudi Sudhakar, Vemuri Viswanadh, Krishna Kumar, Swathi, Somanadh and many others also grace the programme.

Mangalampalli Bala Murali Krishna Kala Puraskaram will be given to Kasi Viswanadha Raju in this programme.
