Rajamahendravaram-Tirupati flight to be introduced from March 29

Rajamahendravaram: MP Margani Bharat Ram has said that a new flight service between Rajamahendravaram and Tirupati will be introduced from March 29.

Speaking to reporters at his office here on Thursday, he said with this, the long-cherished dream of people has become a reality. He added the flight services to Shirdi, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata would be introduced shortly.

He stated A 320 flight service would be introduced shortly from the city as there was a huge demand in the area. As Rajamahendravaram was located between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, the MP said many people were showing interest to travel from Rajamahendravaram airport to save time.

Stating that the airport terminal also be developed to seat 1,400 passengers, he said in addition to this, cargo services would also be introduced shortly from this airport which benefits a lot to the farming and business community.

The MP added plans were afoot to get international status to the airport and ministry of civil aviation was briefed in this regard also.

Airport director Manoj Naik and others were present.
