Rajamahendravaram: Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan has asked the people to support JSP for clean and honest rule in the State.

He expressed concern over the ruling YSRCP perpetrating violence during the ongoing local body elections in the State. He also blamed the ruling party of encouraging corruption. Within nine months, the people are vexed with the YSRCP government, he said.

Participating in the Jana Sena's sixth foundation day celebrations here on Saturday, he said the State government was not respecting court orders on several issues. He regretted that the police were working only for the ruling party.

He said the JSP was contesting the local body elections and at many places they were fighting against the ruling party candidates.

He said the JSP came into existence to fight corruption and prevent criminalisation of politics. Hence, Pawan said the JSP does not want candidates without guts.

Politics means national service and every politician should remember this which is the need of the hour. JSP always fight for people's problems and mainly for hapless people, he added. JSP never bows its head to anybody and it is not the aim of the party.

Pawan said many parties including the YSRCP, tried for an alliance with JSP at one stage. He said the JSP had now forged an alliance with the BJP as there were no top leaders with hereditary links in the party. Stating that the alliance was the need of the hour, he described Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as strong and capable leaders.

JSP leaders Nadendla Manohar, Nagababu, Shiva Shanker, Kandula Durgesh, A Satyanarayana and others were present.
