Rally organised on World TB Day

Kakinada: A rally was organised to create awareness to public on tuberculosis to mark World TB Day here on Sunday. The rally was held from Kakinada Government General Hospital to TTD Function Hall junction. It was flagged off by District Collector Kartikeya Mishra.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that several efforts are being made by World Health Organisation (WHO) to eradicate the health hazard completely.

The Collector advised the TB-affected to take medication properly for complete cure. He also said that more awareness on the symptoms of the disease will also help in curing the disease in preliminary stage.

East Godavari DMHO Dr Ramesh, TB control officer Prasanna Kumar, additional DMHO Dr TSR Murti, KGGH superintendent Dr M Raghavendra Rao, Leprosy and Aids Control Officer M Pavan Kumar and others participated.
