Ramesh Kumar arrest challenged in Andhra Pradesh High Court

Nelapadu (Amaravati): The AP High Court posted to Monday the petition challenging the arrest of Dr Ramesh Kumar, former director of ESIC, after hearing the argument by advocate P V Krishnaiah on behalf of the petitioner, wife of Dr Ramesh Kumar.

Contending that the arrest was politically motivated, the the counsel for the petitioner pointed out that Dr Ramesh Kumar was arrested without serving any notice nor he was intimated the reasons for his arrest.

The government pleader argued that the wife of the accused need not be given any notice. However, advocate Krishnaiah said even the accused was also not served the notice.

After hearing the arguments, the court posted the petition to Monday.
