Rammohan Naidu wins as MP for second time
Srikakulam: TDP candidate and sitting MP K Rammohan Naidu was elected second time as MP from Srikakulam Parliamentary segment. The segment votes counting continued till early hours of Friday. Rammohan Naidu got 6,658 votes majority against YSRCP candidate D Srinivas. The TDP candidate polled 5,34,537 votes and YSRCP candidate got 5,27,879 votes.
Confusion prevailed in counting of postal ballots. Initially postal ballots were counted. But after counting of EVM votes, postal ballots recounting started again in the late night on demand made by TDP leaders. Tension created during recounting and officials finally declared TDP candidate as the winner. In 2014 elections Rammohan Naidu was elected as MP for first time.
