Rayachoti : Unauthorised layouts will not be allowed, asserts Collector PS Girisha
Rayachoti : (Annamayya district) While expressing concern over indiscriminate establishment of unauthorised layouts in Rayachoti town, District Collector PS Girisha has warned of initiating stringent action against those found responsible for such illegal activity.
Speaking at a review meeting with officials over development of the district, the Collector said that the administration will not allow the unauthorised layouts at any cost. He appealed to the people's representatives to extend their cooperation for the removal of unauthorised structures and layouts in the interest of district development.
The Collector directed the officials not to give permissions for unauthorised layouts. He asked the public health department officials to speed up ongoing underground drainage works taken up for a length of 34 km at a cost of Rs 236 crore in Rayachoti town. He pointed out that so far only 3.5 per cent of works were completed in the total project. He also directed the officials to ensure completion of water tanks being constructed at a cost of Rs 98 crore at several places in the city. He said that ring road works were underway from the Collectorate to Chittoor Circle. RDO Ranga Swamy, Municipal Commissioner Rambabu, public health DE Satish and others were present.
