Rayapati Rangarao to contest from Guntur West

Amaravati: The TDP altered the already announced tickets for including Narasaraopet Lok Sabha member Rayapati Sambasiva Rao son, on Monday, sources informed.

As part of this arrangement, MLA Alapati Raja to contest from Narasaraopet Lok Sabha, Madhali Giri will be fielded from Tenali Assembly constituency.

Sambasiva Rao son Rangarao alias Rangababu will be at Guntur West Assembly constituency. Rangababu replaced the candidature of Madhali Giri from Guntur West, announced in the first list. Though, Sambasiva Rao is initially offered the Narasaraopet Lok Sabha, from where he won last general elections, he decided to give chance to his son and requested party president N Chandrababu Naidu to give MLA ticket instead of Lok Sabha.

In this triangular arrangement, Alapati Raja, sitting MLA of Tenali is going to Narasaraopet Lok Sabha and Giri to Tenali Assembly constituency.
