RBS to benefit 4.10 lakh farmers in Kurnool dist: Buggana

Kurnool: Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that 4.10 lakh farmer families are benefitted with Rythu Bharosa scheme in the district. The government has allocated Rs.319 crores for Kurnool district to distribute financial aid under this scheme, he said. The Finance Minister launched the scheme at Dhone town on Tuesday.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion, he said the government's main aim is to make the agricultural sector as profitable wing than other sectors. The farmers are the backbone to the state and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is concerned over the welfare of farmers.

He further said that the Chief Minister is determined to construct irrigation projects in the district. The government will distribute Rs.13,500 to every farmer under Rythu Bharosa scheme in three phases in a year for five years, he said. Buggana further said that the CM would fulfil all his poll promises that were drafted under Navaratnalu schemes. Amma Vodi scheme will start from January 26, he added.

He called upon the farmers to fallow the suggestion and directions of agriculture officers and experts to get more profits. He also called upon the farmers to utilise the welfare schemes implementing by YSR government.

Meanwhile, the Minister for labour Gummanur Jayaram launched Rythu Bharosa at Alur market yard and distributed cheques to the eligible farmers. Pathikonda MLA Kangati Sri Devi, along with District Collector G Veera Pandiyan, inaugurated Rythu Bharosa at Pathikonda.
