Reasons behind TDP changing Puthalapattu MLA candidate

Chittoor: It was a big question that why Telugu Desam Party has changed the Puthalapattu MLA candidate at the last minute? What is the actual reason behind changing the candidate? What has happened?

In the 14 constituencies in the district, three Assembly seats are SC reserved and Puthalapattu is one among them.

As a TDP Puthalapattu MLA candidate, Lalitha Kumari Thomas has lost the elections with the marginal votes for two times. She is the present party in-charge in the constituency.

Like the other aspirants, she has also tried hard to get the party ticket. But the TDP has confirmed the MLA ticket to Therlam Poornam of Thavanampalle mandal.

Therlam Poornam is an employee at the commercial tax department in the district. With this Lalitha Kumari has become emotional, and the followers have pressured her to contest as a rebel candidate.

In the meanwhile, the party has announced B-forms to the candidates. But Therlam Poornam has not turned up to take the B-form.

It's said that due to a heart attack, he got admitted in the hospital. With this, the party has called Lalitha Kumari to Amaravati and declared her as the MLA candidate for Puthalapattu.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP is way ahead in the election campaign, the MLA candidate MS Babu has almost completed the tour in the constituency.
