Recall' for negligent leaders is essential: YS Jagan
Nellore: YSR Congress Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy sought for a recall system where voters can remove elected members from the office if they fail to work up to the satisfaction of the people. He addressed at Gudur on Sunday afternoon as part of his election campaign, he said leaders are giving promises during election time and are ignoring them after getting elected.
Jagan basically addressed the participants amid scorching heat conditions on local problems such as difficulties of acid lemon farmers, paddy farmers and others saying the ruling party had failed to keep its promises for the last five years. He had observed many problems during his 3,648-km-long Padayatra.
He said the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has again been coming to people as part of a campaign with new promises and this is the right time to take a decision to say goodbye to the tricksters. He said there are around 2.30 lakh government vacancies and still the ruling party ignored difficulties of jobless. The CM who visited Gudur many times had assured to resolves local issues like water, support to farmers, MSP, flyover and many others, but they were completely ignored, he criticized.
Jagan tried to communicate his presence for resolving issues saying 'Nenu Unnanu' (I am with you) many times during the meet. He criticized Chandrababu that he had done only cheating and showed dishonesty to the people for the last five years and warned the people of new assurances asking them to be careful. He said they were fighting not only with the ruling government but also with the media houses that have been supporting the Chief Minister. He introduced assembly candidate Dr V Varaprasada Rao and Tirupati LS candidate B Durgaprasada Rao to the people.
