Receive people with smileat police stations: SP

Nellore: District Superintendent of Police (SP) Aishwarya Rastogi advised the receptionists at police stations to receive the people, who visit for justice, with smile and respect. Aishwarya Rastogi participated in an orientation programme on soft skills at Umesh Chandra conference hall here on Saturday.

Speaking at the meeting, Rastogi said that the State government had introduced 'Spandana' to resolve grievances of the public as an important programme. He asked the receptionists and other police personnel to receive public humbly, who visit police stations.

The SP suggested them to provide drinking water, seating and other amenities in all the stations. Police officials have to give a receipt to the petitioner soon after receiving complaint from them as a mandatory practice. They should perform their duties with positive attitude and sincere efforts.

Every police personnel should feel proud and deliver the best services to the public in their jurisdiction,' the SP stated. Psychologist Dr Suresh Babu provided special class to the receptionists on the aspects of role and response, body language, positive attitude, organisational ability, good listening skills, how to interact with the petitioner and knowledge on subject. Additional SP (Admin) P Parameswar Reddy, DSPs Kota Reddy, Sridhar and others were present.
