Rehabilitate street children says Vasireddy Padma

Vijayawada: Vasireddy Padma, chairperson of AP Mahila Commission, released a short film on street children 'Little Leaders' produced and directed by Anjani Yalamanchili at TV Bhavan here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that street children should be rehabilitated to make them better citizens. She congratulated Anjani for taking the initiative to make such short film on street children.

She said that she also learnt that Anjani had earlier made some other short films on women's problems. Anjani Yalamanchili thanking the chairperson of Mahila Commission, said that she was moved by the plight of street

children while going for a walk at Prakasam Barrage. "I wanted to do something for them to bring them to limelight to solve their problems," she said.

Child Welfare Committee chairman BVS Kumar, Chief Engineer SV Ramana, Retired AIR station director Munjuluri Krishna Kumari and Executive Director of Charithasree Hospitals Dr Koneru Neelima who sponsored the short film were present.
