Resolve sand problem: Telugu Yuvatha

Guntur: Telugu Yuvatha activists on Sunday staged a protest at Lodge Centre in the city demanding the government to resolve sand problem immediately and revive the construction activity in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Telugu Yuvatha leader Kanaparthi Srinivasa Rao came down heavily on the government for failing to resolve the sand problem for the last four-months. As a result, lakhs of construction workers, who are depending on the construction activity for livelihood, lost their employment, he stated.

Stating that the construction activity came to a grinding halt due to sand shortage, he said the government was least bothered about the issue. He warned that if the government did not address the sand problem, the Telugu Yuvatha will intensify their agitation. Telugu Yuvatha leader R Srinu, K Krishna Rao and G Chaitanya were present.
