Revenue official in ACB net in Rampachodavaram
Rampachodavaram: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a revenue official when he was accepting bribe from Chandranna Bhima beneficiaries at his residence here on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, ACB deputy superintendent of police Sudhakar, J Willanton is working as an assistant revenue inspector in the office of Tahsildar.
He demanded Satti Babu a bribe of Rs 10,000 to issue a legal heir certificate to get ex gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh relating to K Rambabu who died in an accident.
Insurance officials asked Sattibabu to submit legal heir certificate to release the amount and for that he applied for the certificate in Tahsildar office.
Respective village revenue officer enquired and submitted a report to the assistant revenue officer. At last he agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 5,000 and asked Sattibabu to handover it at his residence.
With this, Sattibabu along with his neighbour Adireddy approached ACB officials and lodged a complaint. ACB officials Pulla Rao, Mohan Rao, Tilak and Naresh participated in the raid.
