RGUKT to organise summer internship programme

Vijayawada: RGUKT-Nuzvid (IIIT-N) in collaboration with AMZ Automotive Company is organising a 21-day Summer Industrial Internship Training Programme for the students, according to the SDCA convener Venkateswarulu on Sunday.

He said that the internship programme gives an opportunity to the students to design, develop and manufacture vehicle on their own with guidance from AMZ Automotive Company's experts. The AMZ Automotive Company has its R&D Officers and Production Engineers guiding the participants throughout the internship programme. Students from different colleges like NITs, SRKR Bhimavaram, LBRCE Mylavaram and Anna University have also participated in this internship programme.

He said the programme aims to manufacture four kinds of vehicles i.e., Go Kart (Electric and IC Engine), Single and Double seater All Terrain Vehicles. In these 21-days each team gets expertise in vehicle dynamics, designing, developing and fabrication of these vehicles and will also implement their own ideas in the design part.

A team of RGUKT Nuzvid (IIITN) Students working on Double seater buggy as part of this internship programme will participate in Rally Car Design Challenge (RCDC). RCDC is an engineering design challenge for the budding engineers of the country.

This is the India's 1st challenge in which engineering students will be coming in contact and participating with professional motorsports people. The challenge is partnered and sponsored by companies like Polaris, Hammerhead off road, India Motor cycle (US based companies) etc. The competition will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
