Rich tributes paid to Indira Gandhi in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: City Congress president N Srinivas has said that the country never forgets the services rendered to the country by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who sacrificed her life for the country.
Paying tributes to Indira Gandhi at party office in connection with International Women's Day held at party office here on Tuesday, he said she was a born leader and brought many reforms in the country for the poor people.
During her tenure for 17 years as Prime Minister the country was developed on all fronts and she was brave. The people called her Amma because of her welfare schemes executed for them.
She nationalised the banks and brought the banks near to even common people which is great reform in the country and which turned the fate of the country, he said. Every party leader should learn her leadership qualities which is the need of the hour, Srinivas averred.
