Rotary Club holds free health camp in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: AP Women Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma on Thursday said that with good lifestyle habits one can stay healthy. She inaugurated a free medical camp organised by Rotary Club of Vijayawada to mark the World Diabetes Day.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that people were prone to various diseases due to the present lifestyle, stress and sitting for long time at work place. She said that with a little exercise and change in food habits, one can be fit and healthy. People will be healthy if they are close to nature and follow good habits. In the present competitive world stress is more in all fields and to overcome one should exercise daily, she said.

Vasireddi Padma said by doing yoga and slight change in diet, one can overcome many health issues. She recalled that previous generations used to be healthy due to good eating habits and walking.

Rotary International project positive health committee member Dr GV Mohan Prasad, Dr Pattabi Rama Rao, Rotary Club of Vijayawada president Varaprasad, secretary K Ramakrishna, MV Suresh Kumar, G Ramesh, T Prabhakar and others were present.
