Rs 1 lakh cr corruption took place in Amaravati: Perni Nani
Minister for Transport and I & PR Perni Nani stated that the corruption in the capital city Amaravati happened to a tune of Rs 1 lakh crore in the TDP government and there was nothing to be surprised to know about the findings of the Expert Panel which found the corruption to the tune of Rs 30,000 crore.
Reacting to the comments of the opposition parties, he stated that the Expert Committee report not only based on the expenditure incurred for the construction of the projects like Interim Government Complex, temporary High Court buildings, roads and other visible structures. But, it also found the corruption took place in the land scams, he added, in a press conference at Secretariat on Friday.
The Minister said that the TDP leaders indulged in insider trading while establishing the capital here. He also added that the TDP government allowed the benamis of the party president N Chandrababu Naidu, to fraudulently convert the SCs lands into regular lands. The SCs were deprived of their land rights in the capital region, he added.
He further blamed the then CM Chandrababu Naidu that he gave lands to his benamis in other countries.
While reacting on the expenditure incurred for Dharma Porata Deeksha of Chandrababu Naidu, just before general elections, he said that the High Court asked the government to provide the details. He said that the government will give all details regarding this case.
Nani blamed that Chandrababu Naidu spent government money of Rs 10 cr for his political gains, on the name of protests in New Delhi.
He said that Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has been criticising only Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy but not making even a word against TDP president. It has been happening for last five years, he observed. He said that when Naidu was in power, Pawan Kalyan criticised the then opposition leader Jagan. Now, the same Pawan Kalyan is criticising present CM Jagan instead of Naidu.
Nani lambasted on BJP leader and MP Sujana Chowdary for criticising the Chief Minister. He added that Sujana was not supposed to criticise Jagan, even if the CM could not get an appointment of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He maintained that, if Amit Shah would not give the appointment to Jagan, then Sujana was supposed to take the responsibility and arrange the meeting as a responsible leader from the state. Instead of doing so, Sujana has been criticising Jagan on the lines of TDP.
The Minister stated that both Sujana and Pawan Kalyan have been working as TDP spokespersons.
