Rs.10,000 pension to Thalassemia, haemophilia patients: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Guntur: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced Rs.10,000 pension to the patients suffering from Thalassemia, haemophilia diseases from January 1 next year.

He said that the government will pay medical expenses above Rs.1000 under the Arogyasri scheme from January 1 which will be implemented on a pilot basis from West Godavari district. Later, this facility will be extended to other districts.

He addressed a meeting at Guntur Medical College auditorium on Monday on the occasion of the launching of post-operative sustenance allowance to compensate wage loss following surgery to the patients under the Arogyasri scheme.

He further said that the government will bring 2000 diseases under the Arogyasri scheme from April 1 next year. He announced that the government will purchase 1060 ambulances by April 1 next year. The government will fill vacant doctor and nurse posts in the GGHs.
