He recalled that YSRCP government claimed that it had been able to bring down the cost of the Polavaram Project by Rs 780 crore. He alleged that it was a part of quid pro quo. The same company, which quoted higher price in tender for Polavaram project earlier, had now quoted lowest tender.

He said that the YSRCP government became unpopular within short period and kept blaming the TDP for everything to divert attention of the people. He cited the High Court judgement on PPAs and the Union minister letter to drive his point home.

He found fault with the government for not taking initiative to salvage the boat which was capsized in the river Godavari. He said it was a shame on the part of the government for not giving opportunity to the private company which came forward to retrieve the boat.

He said the scarcity of sand had deprived 20 lakh workers of their livelihood as all construction activity came to a halt. He warned that the TDP would wage a fight against anti-people policies of the government.
