SACET professor receives doctorate

Chirala: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Kakinada has presented a doctorate to a professor of St Ann's College of Engineering and Technology (SACET), Chirala announced the college secretary Vanama Ramakrishna Rao in a statement.

The college principal Dr Pogadadanda Ravi Kumar said that the professor in Computer Science and Engineering department, Y Soujanya Kumari was awarded a Ph D for her research on the topic, 'Texture feature extraction from texture unit and local binary pattern'.

Soujanya Kumari said that she did the research on the topic under the valuable guidance of Dr Ch Satyanarayana successfully. She said that her research would be helpful in increasing the image clarification accuracy using textures in four methods.

The HoD of the Computer Science and Engineering Dr P Harini, other teaching and nonteaching staff also appreciated Soujanya Kumari for receiving the doctorate.
