Sainik School Kalikiri celebrates Constitution Day
Kalikiri: The 70th"Constitution Day" also called Samvidhan Divas was celebrated at Sainik School, Kalikiri on Tuesday, to commemorate the adoption of Constitution and honour the efforts of drafting committee apart from instilling a sense of patriotism among students and creating awareness on the significance of Constitution.
The celebrations began with an enlightening speech on drafting committee of the Indian Constitution. It was followed by screening of exclusive documentaries on making of the Indian Constitution and Life of Dr BR Ambedkar.
During his address, Principal Capt (IN) Vikrant Kishore reiterated the significance of the Constitution Day and pivotal role of Constitution in shaping the nation into a sovereign, socialist, secular, republic and democratic country.
He then administered the pledge as enshrined in the Preamble of our Constitution to all cadets and staff in Hindi and English as well. Vice-Principal Lt Col Ishani Maitra and Administrative Officer Capt (IA) Pankaj Sharma were present on the occasion.
