Samprokshanam held at Srisailam temple after solar eclipse
Kurnool: Due to solar eclipse, Sri Bramaramba Mallikarjuna Swami Temple at Srisailam has been kept closed from 10 pm on Saturday to 4.30 pm on Sunday. With the completion of eclipse, the temple doors were opened after performing Samprokshanam and evening prayers at both Swami and Amma vari temples amid chanting of Vedic mantras.
The temple Executive Officer (EO), KS Rama Rao has said after opening of temple doors, Mangala Haratis were given to the presiding deities. Later in the evening at about 7 pm Kalynotsavam was performed to Swami Amma varlu and then followed Ekantha Seva, stated the KS Rama Rao.
He further said that devotees were not allowed to have the darshan of Swami amma varlu. They would be allowed from Monday and the devotees are advised to wear masks without fail. Devotees who don't wear masks would not be allowed under any cost, Rama Rao said.
