Sand Mafia Should Not Be Spared At Any Cost; Jagan Mohan Reddy to Officials

Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy gave strict orders to the not to spare Sand Mafia under any circumstances. Chief Minister held a video conference with collectors, SPs and other dignitaries on Tuesday as part of Spandana program. CM has given key directions to address the shortage of sand in the state. Whoever has come forward to transport the sand for government charge should be given the responsibility. Those who come forward at the rate of 90 rupees per 4 km should select vehicles for transportation.

"The sand supply and transportation responsibilities of the district should be delegated to the Joint Collector level officer. The officer should only look after the supply and transport of sand. As the floods have subsided and sand is available and should be provided at lower rates." CM said.

"Change must occur in the next 60 days, and 2000 unemployed SC, ST and BC youth should be provided with vehicles by respective corporations and Kapu Corporation. They need to take steps to issue sand transport contracts. Political interference should not be entertained anywhere. The difference between the past and the present government must be seen. Sand Mafia should not be seen under any circumstances." CM asserted
