School bus driver held for rape attempt on 8th class girl in Nellore district

Nellore: The police have arrested a school bus driver for attempting rape on an 8th class student in Nellore district on Thursday.

The bus driver Siva belongs to Vidya Vihar school has traped the girl with his words and took her to an isolated place near Dindayal Nagar. Looking at his behavior, the victim became panicked began to scream. Immediately, the locals rushed for her rescue. They caught and thrashed him and stripped off his clothes. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took Siva into their custody.

On knowing about the incident, the girl's parents also arrived on the scene and staged a dharna along with the locals demanding strong action against the accused and the school management. Over the incident, the police have registered a case and investigating further.
