Schools, colleges down shutters, bandh peaceful

Rajamahendravaram: All the educational institutions, both private, government, aided and unaided were closed here on Thursday, as per the bandh call given by Vityardhi Aykya Karyacharana Samithi.

The samithi given state bandh call demanding the government to fulfill their justifiable demands such as reimbursement of fees amount, release of scholarship amounts and start midday meals scheme in junior and degree colleges also.

Earlier, the students organised a dharna at Y Junction and took out a rally in the city. SFI district secretary B Paban Kumar, PDSU district secretary S Kiran Kumar, AISF coordinator S Pavan Kumar and hundreds of members of the unions participated in the programmes.
