Schools in Andhra Pradesh get 12 days holidays for Dasara

All the government, private and aided schools in Andhra Pradesh were given 12 days holidays for Dasara from September 28 to October 9. The schools will re-open on October 10.

The Directorate of Education stated that they have issued the date of holidays as per the academic schedule. However, some of the teachers union are demanding the government to extend the holidays till October 13.

The education department has warned the institutions not to run classes during the holidays. Any such incidents will lead to stern action against the institutions, it said.

Meanwhile, Schools in the neighbouring state Telangana got 16 days holidays for Dasara. The government declared holidays from September 28 to October 13.
