SCR GM conducts Annual Inspection of Guntakal Division

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Gajanan Mallya undertook Annual Inspection of Tirupati — Renigunta — Yerraguntla — Nandyal sections of Guntakal Division on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Alok Tiwari, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division throughout the inspection.

The General Manager commenced the inspection at Tirupati Railway Station and inaugurated the LED facade lighting for illumination of the station building, battery-operated car on the platform for the convenience of Senior Citizens, train indication board cum video wall and Air-conditioned TIE rest house. He also distributed modem tool kit bags to the electrical maintenance staff. The General Manager inspected Renigunta Railway station where he carried out a detailed inspection of the Health Unit, Running room and passenger amenities. He inaugurated Passenger lifts on Platform Numbers one, four & five and integrated LED signals and distributed tool kits to track maintainers.

Gajanan Mallya carried out a speed test between Renigunta — Razampeta sections. He inspected Koduru Railway Station where he inaugurated the trackmen rest cum tool room and Permanent Way Inspectors Office. At Rajampeta Railway Station, he inaugurated 7.5 KWP on Grid Roof Top Solar Plant, New Park and Digital Smart Display. The General Manager declared Ontimitta Railway Station as an Energy Neutral Station. The officials of Guntakal Division put up a brief display of the good works done by all the departments. Later, he conducted a speed test between Rajampeta — Kadapa sections and also inspected the Level crossing gate between Nandalur — Mantampalle stations.

The General Manager inspected Kadapa Railway Station where he inaugurated Automation of pumps through GSM network, renovated sleeper waiting hall and renovated VIP lounge. He declared Kadapa Railway Station as 100% Energy Efficient Station. Enroute, he conducted a speed test between Kadapa — Nandyal section and also inspected a major bridge between Gangayapalle — Kamalapuram section. At Yerraguntla station, the General Manager participated in a tree plantation program. He also inspected passenger amenities at Proddatur Railway Station. The General Manager received representations from various public representatives during his inspection at various railway stations.

Commissioner of Railway Safety (South Central Circle) Ram Kripal and other senior officials were also present.
