Security beefed up at TDP office in Guntur city

Guntur: Security beefed up at TDP State party office in Guntur city on Tuesday in view of former speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao's body arrival from Hyderabad. The police set up barricades on the roads leading to the TDP State party office and set up additional police pickets on the road.

Even the police are not allowing outsiders into State party office. Meanwhile, the party made elaborate arrangements to keep Kodela body in the party office to have last darshan and to pay respects to departed leader.

The police set up police pickets at all important centres in Guntur and Narasaraopet revenue divisions. Section 144 was also imposed in Guntur and Narasaraopet divisions to prevent untoward incidents. Additional forces were deployed at Narasaraopet town on the occasion former Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao funeral on Wednesday.
