Sewing machines distributed to Muslim women: MLA

Kakinada: MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy distributed sewing machines to Muslim women on Saturday evening. At a programme held on mosque premises at Gudimetlavari Street in Jaggannaickpur area, the MLA handed over the machines along with the training completion certificates to 50 women.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrasekhara Reddy said that the YSRCP government headed by YS Jaganmohan Reddy has initiated several measures for the uplift of women particularly from minorities for their economic empowerment.

The MLA asked the women to utilise the opportunities for their benefit. He assured all possible help to Muslim youth who approached him for provision of self-employment under government schemes. Muslim community elders, mosque committee members and others attended in large numbers.
