SGTF putsforth various demands at Atmagaurava Sabha in Ongole

Ongole: The members of the Secondary Grade Teachers Federation put forth various demands in the Atmagaurava Sabha held in the PVR Girls High School in Ongole on Sunday.

The SGTF state president Challagunda Srinivasa Rao, vice president Pagollu Seshagiri Rao, organizing secretaries Ganipisetty Govinda Rao, Nemalidinne Anjireddy, district general secretary Hari Prasad and others discussed their vows with the other members in the meeting and passed a resolution with various demands.

They demanded that the government should cancel the GO No 77 and upgrade the SGTs along with the voting right in MLC elections. They also demanded the government should reintroduce the earlier pension scheme in the place of CPS. They asked the government to recognise each SHGT with 12 years of experience with school assistant cadre and there should not be a gap of more than 10 per cent between the SGTs and school assistants in the PRC.

They demanded to sanction the PSHM post to each primary school and exempt the SGTs of more than 50 years of age from the department tests. They also demanded the government to issue health cards to municipal and aided teachers also.
