Shiva temples decked up in East Godavari

Rajamahendravaram: All the Shiva temples in the district were decked up for the Maha Shivaratri festival and the temple managements made all the necessary arrangements for hassle-free darshan of Lord Shiva. All the temples were illuminated and special queue systems were also arranged for the convenience of the devotees.

Thousands of devotees will throng the Uma Markendeya Swamy temple, Uma Kotilingeswara Swamy temple, Sarangadhareswara Swamy temples and Visweswara Swamy temples in Rajamahendravaram, Bhimeswara Swamy temple in Draksharama, Chalukya Kumara Bhimeswara Swamy temple in Samalkot, Chaya Someswara Swamy temple in Kotipalli, Baneshwara Swamy temple in Banapuram, Veereswara Swamy temple in Muramalla, Mukteswara Swamy temple in Mukteswararam, Rampeswara Swamy temple in Rampachodavaram and others.

Meanwhile, MP Margani Bharat Ram, MLA Adireddy Bhavani and Municipal Commissioner Abishkit Kishore supervised the arrangements at all the bathing ghats in the city.

Special sanitation staff members were arranged at all ghats, drinking water, dress changing rooms etc arranged at the ghats. Traffic police also imposed traffic regulations at various places including on Godavari bund in connection with the fest.
