Shock to boozers with additional tax in AP

Nellore, Oct 1: Government of Andhra Pradesh has given a shock treatment to the boozers from Oct 1 imposing huge Additional Retail Excise Tax (ARET) being implemented from Tuesday in connection with beginning of the new excise year.

It is varying between RS. 10 and a maximum of Rs. 250 as part of discouraging the boozers.

It may be recalled the excise department is starting sales across the state through its own employee network whom they had recently appointed on contract basis.
