The Special Investigation Team, which is constituted for the investigation of irregularities on the land allocations in Visakhapatnam, has submitted its interim report to the chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday.

SIT chairman Dr Vijay Kumar and members of the team Anurag and Bhaskar Rao have met the chief minister at CM camp office in Tadepally in Amaravati. Officials reportedly told the chief minister that they had identified mistakes in the land allocations and registered as many as 1351 complaints.

They explained to the CM that there are more issues to be studied and requested the chief minister to extend the deadline to submit the report. However, the chief minister has advised SIT officials to examine the irregularities of lands with full evidence and extended the deadline.
