Six held for circulating fake currency notes in Vizianagaram

Fake currency rocket busted

Vizianagaram: Vizianagaram police has arrested a six-member gang which is producing fake currency. Interestingly the gang has learnt the producing of fake currency by watching youtube. B. Rajakumari, SP of Vizianagaram informed that a former Indian Navy employee and his close friends have manufactured these notes with the help of a Xerox centre operator of Vizianagaram city. Any how, finally the gang was arrested and police seized the currency notes worth of Rs.31 lakhs and original currency notes worth of Rs.1.6 lakhs.

K.Ramu of Akkivaram village in Denkada Mandal was retired from Indian Navy and gathered a group of people and advised them that making of fake currency notes is an easy task and we can learn it by watching youtube. Later the gang has prepared some notes and even offered some notes to their friends and relatives in double than they received the original notes.

The gang tried to purchase sheep in a weekly market at Savaravilli village of Bhogapuram Mandal with the fake notes. But the sheep traders have suspected it to be fake currency and informed the police. Later the police kept vigilance on the gang and arrested with concrete evidences.
