Six people heading towards Vizag from Abu Dhabi held in Nellore
Six people who were from Abu Dhabi and heading towards Vizag via Nellore were handed over to the authorities of the government general hospital as part of preventive measures over the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state.
On receiving the information from the RTC staff, the special team reached the main bus station and collected the information from them. During the investigation, they said that they were travelling from Abu Dhabi and planning to go Vizag through a bus.
Recently, one person from London, who travelled to Ongole via Nellore has been tested positive of Coronavirus. He, along with other people who travelled on the same bus are now in the isolation ward. With this, the RTC staff has immediately alerted the health officials and shifted the six members to the GGH over any symptoms of Covid-19.
When questioned the Nodal Officer of Coronavirus Dr Swarnalatha over the six members health condition, she said that they are now at GGH and will be freed after observing them. She confirmed that they are healthy without any symptoms od Covid-19.
She further added that the District Officials would decide whether to send them to their destination or not. They had not quarantined the team and said there is no need for further investigations. They would inform to the concerned district authorities for home-based quarantine for 14 days soon after they reach their places, she said.
