South Central Railway Zonal Manager inspects electrical loco shed

Guntakal (Anantapur): South Central Railway (SCR) Zonal Manager (ZM) G Malya has inspected the railway electrical loco shed and enquired about the progress of works executed at a cost of Rs 94 crore.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Malya said that the works are fast progressing and the electrical loco shed will be inaugurated by September.

The electrical loco shed would cater to the maintenance of electrical engines and help deliver quality services to passengers. Malya also visited the renovated railway station and was impressed with the services in the station and its daily upkeep. He congratulated the Guntakal DRM Vijay Pratap Singh for his effective supervision of the station.

The ZM opened the rest rooms for the travelling ticket examiners and also the computer centre set up for skill development and training of staff. Malya also inaugurated the skating platform at the Railway Sports Stadium and visited the railway school, and stalls in the exhibition set up by the teachers and students.

The railway official gave away a cash award of Rs 30,000 to the school impressed at the talent of students. He later visited a Napkin making unit being run by railway women. ADRM Simeon and Coordinator Venkat Rao also accompanied Malya.
