Spandana progress reviewed weekly, Collector informs CM

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has informed Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy that the district administration is reviewing progress of Spandana petitions every Wednesday besides holding videoconference with officials and setting up special call centre to receive public grievances.

He responded during review of Spandana by the Chief Minister from Secretariat through videoconference with Collectors on Tuesday. The Collector said that before commencement of Spandana every Monday, a review meeting with district officials has been conducted for one hour to know the solutions provided to the petitions submitted earlier.

After the review, the actual Spandana programme begins at 10 am. While the Spandana programme is in progress, a videoconference with MPDOs and Tahsildars has been conducted simultaneously settling petitions received.

Every Wednesday, the solution provided to every petitioner would be known from the office at mandal-level. The same evening, the petitions would be reviewed for an hour through videoconference. In addition to petitions received during Spandana, a special call centre at Collectorate will be receiving 200 petitions everyday.

To provide solution to land-related issues, revenue officials were asked about the same in the presence of petitioner, the Collector informed. Earlier, the Chief Minister asked the Collectors to provide quality solution to Spandana petitions.

He also directed them to focus on sand and electricity shortage. Stating that the Collectors should make it a point to halt during night at hostels frequently, Jagan informed them that every district was sanctioned with Rs 7 crore for taking up works identified during such surprise inspections by the Collectors.Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy accompanied the Collector during the videoconference.
