Speaker Tammineni Sitaram arrives on a 4-day visit to Tirumala

Tirupati: Speaker Tammineni Sitharam arrived here on Wednesday on a four-day visit to the district. Sitharam will stay in Tirumala till July 4.

According to an official release here, the Speaker by road came from Nellore to Tirumala.

He will offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara on Thursday.

Later, he will go to the temples in Kanipakam and Srinivasamangapuram and return to Tirumala. On July 3, he will attend programmes as arranged by Additional EO in Tirumala before visiting Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple, Tiruchanur for offering prayers and return to Tirumala.

On the same day, he will visit Japali Anjaneya Swamy temple on the hills. On July 4, he will leave for Srikalahasthi where he will offer prayers in Srikalahasthiswara Swamy temple.

Meanwhile, the VVIPs flow is slowly picking up with one after another visiting Tirumala to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara after the reopening of the shrine for darshan on June 12. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Sivaraj Singh Chouhan, Tourism Minister Avanthi Srinivas, more than a dozen public representative including MPs and MLAs have so far visited the hill top temple town.
