Speaker unveils photo exhibition in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Seetaram on Sunday said that photography is a combination of symbol, message and emotion. He participated as chief guest at the AP Photography Day celebrations, jointly organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Association, AP Photography Academy and Indian International Council.
The Speaker inaugurated the programme by unveiling the photo exhibition at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA). Speaking on the occasion, he said that he used to carry a camera regularly during his college days, but after entering into politics camera came in front of him. He also said that photography is a powerful media and it can vibrate the heart of anyone.
AP Cultural Council CEO A Lakshmi Kumari, Photography Academy state secretary T Srinivasa Reddy also spoke. The Speaker distributed national awards to the best photographers. Padmasri Anoopsha has been honoured with lifetime achievement award who captured Everest by climbing it.
MLA Gadde Rammohan, Photography Academy president M Venkateswara Rao, Cultural centre CEO E Sivanagi Reddy, Andhra Academy Secretary Golla Narayana Rao, photographers from across the country were present.
