Special teams to eradicate mosquitoes

Rajamahendravaram: Commissioner Sumit Kumar has said the corporation is taking steps to eradicate mosquito menace in the city and special teams were constituted in this regard. Speaking to the members of the teams at his office here on Tuesday, he said that 10 teams are working to eradicate mosquitoes which are main reason for spread of dengue and malaria.

He said silt should be cleared in all the drains from where the mosquitoes spread and underlined the need to maintain sanitation properly. As the rainy season commenced, the officials of health wing should take care about sanitation in the city, he said. Deputy medical and health officer Dr Komali, corporation health officer Dr MVR Murthi, district mosquito eradication officer CHS Rao and others were present.
