Tirupati: SPMVV professor gets Blindwink Award
Tirupati: Prof K Sandhya Rani of Department of Computer Science, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) has received 'Distinguished Computer Scientist Award' from Blindwink-Market Research and Brand Management company which presented India Education Awards 2019.
This award was given for her academic and research contribution in the field of computer at a function organised recently at Taj West End in Bengaluru. The award was presented by Bollywood actress and chief guest of the function Soha Ali Khan.
Prof Sandhya Rani has been working as computer science faculty in SPMVV for the last 32 years. She obtained her M Tech Computer Science degree from IIT Kharagpur and PhD in Computer Science degree from SPMVV. She already received five awards from IT companies and colleges for her excellence in the thrust areas of computer science. She published more than 95 papers in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings. Rani is an active researcher in big data analytics, pattern recognition, artificial neural networks and privacy preserving data mining and produced 10 PhD and three MPhil degrees under her guidance.
