Srikakulam: Dharmana Krishna Das demands CBI, ED probe into Chandrababu Naidu's assets
Srikakulam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Dharmana Krishna Das demanded CBI and ED probe into illegal assets of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Nara Lokesh.
Speaking to media here on Friday, Dharmana said that the IT officials raids on properties of people linked to TDP unearthed Rs 2,000 crore in the house of Naidu's personal secretary P Srinivasa Rao. He said Chandrababu needs to answer about the illegal assets found by the IT department at his private secretary's house.
He also demanded the Central government to initiate detailed probe into illegally acquired assets of Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh by collecting commissions and shares from contractors and party MLAs during their tenure. Naidu and Lokesh allegedly collected shares from Srikakulam district regarding illegal sand mining at that time, he alleged.
Two MLAs and a minister from the district were handing over illegal sand share amount every month to Chandrababu and his son during their regime, he stated. The two MLAs and the minister exploited the sand from Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers and the government did not earn even a single paisa due to free sand policy, the minister recalled.
Dharmana Krishna Das suggested the former CM to declare his illegal earnings by misusing office voluntarily which may help him to reduce some amount of punishment at least now. He also asked as to why Chandrababu Naidu suddenly rushed to Hyderabad without responding on the issue by the IT department. He also questioned as to why Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan maintaining silence on the issue. If Pawan did not responded on the issue, he said the people will understand that Pawan Kalyan might have received shares from Chandrababu Naidu.
