Srikakulam: Dharmana Krishna Das pitches for low key New Year celebrations

Srikakulam: Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das and his younger brother and Srikakulam YSRCP MLA Dharmana Prasada Rao on Monday called upon people to celebrate the New Year celebrations in a low key manner. They released a two separate press notes from their offices on Monday in the wake of New Year celebrations.

In view of Covid second wave spreading rampantly across the nation and it is more dangerous to lives of people than the first phase, they appealed to people to take all precautionary measures to prevent its spread and strictly follow all Covid protocol norms till March 2021.

Both leaders requested the people to strictly observe physical distance and wear face mask mandatorily and celebrations should be low key. These two precautions will help to curb Covid second wave effectively, they explained.

The cold weather in winter season will help in spreading of Covid second wave speedily and to prevent it, they suggested people to follow suggestions of the doctors and medical experts strictly till the vaccine was available.

They also appealed to party leaders, cadres and common people not to visit their camp offices on the occasion of New Year. They also asked people to send wishes over phone which is better in the wake of Covid pandemic.
