Srikakulam: Digital transactions will save precious time: joint collector K Srinivasulu
Srikakulam: Digital transactions are essential in the wake of Covid pandemic and also to achieve transparency in banks, suggested joint collector K Srinivasulu. He inaugurated a mobile van on financial literacy and digital banking at Union Bank regional office here on Thursday. On the occasion, the JC inspected digital and online banking activities the regional office.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the digital and online banking activities were safe and people need not visit the banks' branches for every work. The digital transactions will save precious time and also help to prevent spread of Covid, he pointed out.
To prevent corruption, digital and online banking modes were effective and it should be mandatory for all to achieve corruption-free system at all levels, he stated. Union Bank of India (UBI) Srikakulam regional office launched awareness drive on digital and online banking modes among people for which a mobile van was engaged and required equipment arranged in the van.
The bank staff were also creating awareness among people on importance of digital and online transactions. The JC appealed to bank staff to not attend duties if they were suffering with cold and cough.
